Built in only 15 hours by Henrik Berggren and David Kjelkerud at Music Hack Day London, CitySounds.fm is a city based music browser where the newest tracks from cities all around the world are listed.
And now you can take it with you and enjoy new music on your iPhone! I’ve been beta testing it for a while now and it’s been working seamlessly. The app uses SoundCloud API and Cocoa streaming library. Henrik and David are also co-creators of Listen To Blogs, another cool service based on Soundcloud API.
I’m already looking forward to next version 2.0 where I can save my favourite cities, search and browse all cities around the world, and I’ll also be able to share all good stuff I find on both Facebook and Twitter. These are many of the functions you can already find on the browser version. If I only could get the app remember the latest tracks listened, I’d be seriously hooked. And please Apple, would you finally allow apps run on the background?
The app will be yours for SEK 22 / $3
PS. If you’re into music services you might wanna sign up Music Hack Day Stockholm!
