The third edition of Geek Girl Meetup, Swedish unconference for women, by women, takes place this weekend, gathering 100 savvy ladies in the fields of technology, web, social media and entrepreneurship.

The theme this time is ”Skill & Love”, challenging the attendees to participate in the world’s first crowdsourced charity hack. ActionAid, fighting poverty with focus on women and girls, has been selected as the recipient of a creative web solution that will be produced in 24 hours. Press release (SWE)

First glimpse at the program tells that the attendees will be sharing their expertise within Indie Games, Google Analytics, Monitoring social media, Swedish Public service radio P3 on journalism and social media, Hardware hacking with Linux on devices such as iPhone and MP3 Player. Gun Swensson, the winner of Stora Bloggpriset in category Politics & Society will be talking about her experiences of blogging and Internet as tool for knowledge. (My previous Geek Girl Meetup presentations on how to build successful online services and startups)

Since the first conference in Stockholm in March 2009 Geek Girl Meetup has spread to Gothenburg and Malmö. In Stockholm Geek Girls have been busy all spring with fully booked Evening Sessions, covering front and back end programming, and business development.
