ThisWeekIn – The Social Broadcasting Media

Thisweekinlogo

This is a repost of my Bub.blicio.us article on new podcast This Week In Social Media feat. its very first guest Brian Solis. @TwiSocialMedia is the latest addition of the web television network ThisWeekIn.com, co-founded by Jason Calacanis. I have previously written why its first live podcast show This Week In Startups is a great example of user engagement and social media marketing

Read more on statistics and the impact of social media in the future of broadcast media, and don’t miss to watch what Brian Solis and co-host Sean Percival have to say about Internet privacy, among other hot topics on the social web.

The future of broadcasting media is social. Don’t choose the wrong way, engage with your audience. #EngageOrDie

EXTRA: Brian Solis is arriving to Stockholm to hold a keynote at World Public Relations Forum on Monday June 14th, where he also will be signing his new book Engage. If you can’t join us, keep your eye on @WorldPRForum and #wprf2010.

EXTRA 2: STOCKHOLM TWEETUP: There’s Who knows, there might even be a Tweetup in town tonight! Clarion Sign Hotel Lobby Bar, 9.30 PM. Brian has few copies of Engage with him. (Follow Brian and me on Twitter to make sure you don’t miss any fun!)

In Search Of The Cash In Social Media

This is a repost of my bub.blicio.us article covering Social + Cash, the sixth edition of Swedish social media conference held by Annika Lidne, CEO of Disruptive Media.

How does the social capital that individuals and brands earn by engaging on the social web convert to ROI, return on investment?

Not only was the whole conference, accordingly, streamed live, the key takeaways were also summed up directly from stage, in ENGLISH, by Chris Heuer, Annika Lidne and myself, moderated by Joakim Nyström, host of the Sweet Sunday Web Crunch, Swedish weekly live podcast show with everything Internet.

I must also recommend to watch Sweet Sunday Web Crunch produced by Björn Falkevik, Mattias Östmar and Joakim Nyström (in SWE). It’s a great use case of how to produce social video podcasts with few means by using Bambuser. Thus, it’s no surprise that the show runs its second season now, and already received the Honorary Yaba Award for improving the Swedish Internet. I was happy to be an early on guest (S01E04). Naturally, I talked about Swedish startups.
