Bambuser Helps Out To Live Stream Finland’s Independence Day

Bambuser

Talk about worst timing – Areena, the online service of YLE, Finland’s national public service broadcasting company, went down at the time of the Finland’s Independence Day reception at the Presidential Palace. The reception, called “Linnan Juhlat” in Finnish, has been broadcasted since 1919 and is one the most popular programs in Finland.

Thanks to quick action by user arttusilvast on Bambuser, Swedish live video streaming service, the reception that is being broadcasted on national TV is also broadcasted live online.

The broadcast has so far had over 2500 live viewings.

With social media, there’s no downtime for news.
